Il \u00e9tudie sous la direction musicale de L\u00e9on Algazi, son professeur, mentor puis ami.<br \/>Arr\u00eat\u00e9 par la Gestapo en mars 1944, il est intern\u00e9 au camp de Drancy puis d\u00e9port\u00e9 \u00e0 Auschwitz, par le convoi no 71, en date du 13 avril 1944. Il survit en \u00e9chappant \u00ab\u00a0miraculeusement\u00a0\u00bb aux marches de la mort.<br \/>De retour \u00e0 Paris, il est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Union lib\u00e9rale isra\u00e9lite de France, \u00e0 la synagogue du 24 rue Copernic dans le 16e arrondissement en 1946.<br \/>Il reste le hazzan (officiant, chantre) de la synagogue Copernic, durant 45 ans, jusqu&rsquo;en 1991. Avec un registre vocal exceptionnel, il a une tr\u00e8s belle voix de basse chant\u00e9e.<br \/><br \/>Le chant \u00ab\u00a0souviens toi d&rsquo;Auschwitz\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 en 1967. Il n&rsquo;est pas \u00e0 proprement parler une \u00ab\u00a0musique des camps\u00a0\u00bb, puisque compos\u00e9e bien apr\u00e8s, mais c&rsquo;est pourtant bien une musique des camps, cependant, car chant\u00e9e, port\u00e9e par un rescap\u00e9 qui appelle au devoir de m\u00e9moire. Pas de m\u00e9moire en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, mais de ce qu&rsquo;il a v\u00e9cu personnellement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
